The size og the kite depends on the wind conditions. Kitesurfing have become one of the most popular adventure sports these last years, and continue to grow. It is possible to kite on both snow and water. When you first look at this sport it looks like it's hard to learn, but instructors generally agree that it takes less time to learn kitesurfing than surfing.
To really build that solid foundation and learn kitesurfing, there is no way around learning without an instructor. Not only will you be safer overall, but lots of the techniques are counter-intuitive and you need someone with the proper skills and knowledge to instruct you.
